Oversee and manage student support services, including academic advising, counseling, and career guidance.
Design, implement, and evaluate programs and initiatives that enhance student engagement, personal development, and academic success.
Address and resolve student issues, conflicts, and grievances in a fair and timely manner.
Organize and manage student events, workshops, and activities, including fashion shows, exhibitions, and networking events.
Provide individual advising and mentorship to students, helping them navigate academic and personal challenges.
Working closely with faculty and other staff members to support student needs and ensure alignment with academic goals and curriculum.
Assist in student recruitment efforts and develop strategies to improve student retention and satisfaction.
Oversee career services, including internship placements, job searches, and industry connections, particularly related to the fashion industry.
Monitor student academic performance and provide support for those facing academic difficulties or needing additional resources.
Managing administrative tasks related to student affairs, such as maintaining student records, processing forms, and ensuring compliance with institutional policies.
Gather and analyze student feedback to improve services and address emerging needs or concerns.
Build and maintain relationships with industry professionals, alumni, and other stakeholders to enhance the student experience and provide additional opportunities.
Ensure that student comply with the institutional policies and standards.
Requirements:
Bsc / HND/ OND degree from any reputable university or polytechnique
Good knowledge in fashion education or related field
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
Strong leadership skills
Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills
Design and develop a comprehensive curriculum that covers various sewing techniques, including basic sewing skills, pattern making, garment construction, and finishing techniques according to the academy’s standard.
Evaluating student progress and skill levels through assignments, projects, and practical assessments.
Create detailed lesson plans that outline instructional goals, materials needed, and step-by-step instructions for each class
Provide hands-on instruction in sewing techniques, guiding students through practical exercises, and demonstrating proper sewing methods and equipment usage.
Offer constructive feedback to students on their work, identifying areas for improvement, and providing guidance on how to enhance their sewing
Requirements:
A bachelor’s degree /HND/OND in fashion design, textile design, apparel construction, or a related field.
Relevant certifications in sewing, tailoring, or fashion design is an advantage
Experience working in the fashion industry, such as designing, pattern making, or working with different fabrics.
Hands-on experience in sewing, tailoring, or garment construction is essential.
Previous experience as a sewing instructor
