FULL TIME STUDENTS: Full-time students are permitted, based on their fee and program, to come to school from Mondays to Fridays.
PART TIME STUDENTS: Executive students are permitted to come to school twice a week, i.e. Saturday and any other day within the week. Note that 3 lecture days a week is only for weekday students.
FOUNDATION STUDENT: Students under the foundation program are permitted to receive lectures only on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays.
INTERNSHIP: The Academy has a paid internship for all students after graduation having covered the cut-off mark of 75 % in their final grading. Students interested in the internship program shall apply officially via mail to: [email protected] for approval.
CLASS STAGES: The GMYT Fashion Academy curriculum is designed with the corporate strategic focus to equip all students with all necessary skills to excel in the fashion space. The curriculum is therefore designed to progress students across competencies as follows;
i. Newbies / Newestbies
ii. Freshers
iii. Beginners
iv. Intermediate / Advanced
All students that register with GMYT fashion academy must start from basic regardless of the training they might have gotten elsewhere.
The GMYT induction designed for new students as well as any other event organized by the Academy is mandatory for all students.
Any student who, based on uncontrolled circumstances, may be absent from the induction or any of such events as described above must send a notice, not later than 72 hours to the said event and must have gotten an approval for such absence before embarking on such absence.
Every student, at the completion of their program at GMYT is required to pay for and attend the graduation ceremony / fashion show organized by the school in partnership with (GAHAWARDS). It is important students understand that this is a critical part of their program with GMYT Fashion Academy and it is mandatory for certification.
All student must participate in all tests, exams, collections and projects, as these combined form the basis for continuous assessment and final certification. Students who fail to participate in these continuous assessment, without an approved reason shall undergo disciplinary actions up dismissals and/or decertification.
4.1 Projects: The Academy, during its monthly Fabric week, expects all students to complete a project organized by their respective supervisors / Facilitators. All students are expected to participate fully and submit their projects as may be required from time to time by the Academy.
All student must participate in all group projects and submit their projects after their logbooks have also been signed.
A student who does not pay but participated will not be cleared by his/her supervisor.
A student who pays for the project but did not participate will also not be cleared by the supervisor.
A student who defaults on any of the instructions of these shall be made to execute the project single-handedly and submit to the HOD without any supervision.
Any student that does not participate in any other project, either organized by their class or the academy, will not be allowed in class until such a time, when the said student submits double of the assigned project to the school.
4.2 Cut Off Mark: Student assessment at GMYT Fashion Academy shall be cumulative of all assignments, class work and projects. At the end of the program, all students are expected to meet up with the cut-off mark approved by the Academy. The approved cut off mark is 75% and it is the criteria for graduation. Failure to meet up will attract extra fees and a reseat of the practical sessions for the said students.
4.3 Graduation/Certification
4.3.1 In furtherance to the provisions above, the following are the acceptable criteria for all students of GMYT Fashion Academy at the completion of their program, to be considered for graduation and certification;
i. Financial Clearance form
ii. Proof of minimum attendance requirement for course type (75%).
iii. Proof of no equipment damage clearance form
iv. Proof of return of all academy property(s) including keys, Identity cards etc.
v. Submission of not-less-than 3 body forms or mannequins to the school in union.
vi. Submission of supervisor grading for final Showcase.
Any student that does not showcase a collection on the runway will not be entitled to a certificate.
4.4 Testimonials: All students are required to give testimonials within three months into the program as feedback is an important criterion for structure.
4.5 Submission Of Graduation Outfits: Students must submit their graduation outfits before the event day to enable the school make appropriate arrangement for them.
Students’ kit package are made available upon payment of required fees to the accounting department.
5.1 Starter Kits: The Academy provides the students with all necessary basic sewing kits for their class work, however all students are responsible for their kits as the management will not be liable for any misplaced kits.
5.2 Uniformity: Students are expected to purchase all kit(s) in school so as to encourage uniformity in materials/tools.
5.3 Procedure For Kits Purchase: To purchase kits from the store, student may follow any of the following procedures;
Send a mail to the accounting department containing the list of kit items needed, requesting for the cost of the items from the account department.
With a reply from the Accounting department on the initial request as explained above, students may proceed to make payment.
The student shall then proceed to send a mail requesting for the kits, attaching the proof of payment for the said kits to the mail.
Alternatively, a student may approach the accounting department to make payment for the kits and also proceed to receive the kits, from the store with their receipts.
5.4 Illustration Kits: FREE Illustration kits qualifies you for the illustration classes. Only the approved illustration kits are allowed in class.
GMYT Fashion Academy, as part of her empowerment program, provides sewing machines to certain students based on predefined terms and conditions and that the sewing machines are issued on this basis. All students understand and agree that the sewing machine is not covered by and consequently not part of the fee(s) paid by the student upon registration for any program in the Academy. All students understand that the sewing machine is issued as part of GMYT Fashion Academy’s corporate social responsibility, through her empowerment scheme championed proudly by the GMYT Foundation to certain students who meet the following requirements;
A student may only be considered for sewing machine if such student makes a one-time full payments at the point of registration with the Academy. Students making payments in installments shall NOT be considered for the free machine scheme
A students in furtherance of fulfilling the above requirement MUST be present at the GAH-AWARDS ceremony, to be considered for the sewing machine scheme.
The sewing machine can only be collected on GAH-AWARDS ceremony (not sooner or later).
The sewing machine CANNOT be collected by a representative or by proxy but by the prospective student personally on that day.
Weekend students and foundation students are NOT entitled to free machines, only WEEKDAY students that meet the payment policy criteria are eligible.
Students who register for 3,6,9 months and below shall NOT be considered for the sewing machine scheme.
A student who meets the above requirements shall write a letter addressed to the accounting department, requesting to be considered for the sewing machine scheme, while attaching evidence of full payment to the school.
6.1 Demurrage: Any student, who is deemed qualified for sewing machine BUT fails to pick up the machine shall pay a demurrage fee of Two thousand (2,000) naira for each day the machine stays at school.
7.1 Non-refundable/non-covertable Of Fees: All tuition fee as well as any other payments made to the academy is non-refundable, non-transferable and non convertible.
Note that all fees paid to the school are non-refundable and all installment fees must be fully paid within 3months from first payment.
7.2 Installment Payment
Only six, nine and twelve months fee payments may be paid in installments.
Three Months fees may only be paid once.
All installment fees must be paid within 3 months on the agreed dates. Else he/she will be asked to withdraw from the school. Note that your tuition fee is not transferable to another person.
7.3 Extension Of Duration
Student are eligible to extend their program within two weeks of resumption. Only the difference between the current duration and the one the student wish to extend will be paid. Hence, extention of program after 2 weeks cost #100,000 for the first month and #50,000 for subsequent months.
7.4 DEFERMENTS
All students are entitled to deferment of not more than 3 months accompanied with valid reason to be away. Hence freezing of account costs the sum of fifty thousand naira only (#50,000) per month.
7.5. IDENTITY CARD
Student must always wear their ID Cards. Any student that goes contrary to this will not be allowed in the school and can be suspended if it becomes a pattern; hence new students are entitled to temporal Identity card approved by the school (kindly visit the account office for issuance)
7.6 Loss Of ID Card
Reissuing of the school ID card if lost cost #10,000.
7.7 Freezing Of Account
Note: To freeze your account,
1. you would need apply, stating when you are leaving and your expected return date.
2. Make your payment
3. Submit your ID card as a new one would be issued to you on your return to the school.
NB: if no approval is given the request is void, nonetheless with/without approval all students must graduate within same year of registration/admission.
7.8 Non-commencement or Non-completion of Course
If a student fails to complete the course, No refund or reduction of fees will be given to him/her. Also, the number of hours must be completed by each student before practical and exams can be taken.
All course forms must be filled including two passports, one portrait photographs in soft and hard copy and must be submitted before resumption, nonetheless a grace of two weeks is given hence the student registration becomes void with the school after two weeks. Student Course form is issued to every student by the academy upon full payment for registration with the school. The course form details all activities of the student in the Academy and must be kept properly.
GMYT Fashion Academy shall not be responsible for the loss or damage of any course form in the possession of any students.
GMYT Fashion Academy shall not be required to duplicate the contents of any student in the future resulting from the loss or damage of any course form.
8.1 MD’s/ Hos Remark: All students are expected to submit their log book to their HOD every month for sighting and remarks.
COURSE FORMS
8.2 Loss Of Course Form/log Book: New course form/logbook if misplaced cost ten thousand naira only (#10,000) hence it’s important that all students take proper care of it, as this is the official book approved by the school for Documentation and also to track students’ progress, hence any student without logbook will not be allowed in class and no facilitator will attend him/her.
8.3 Logbooks: All students are expected to sign in all their daily activities in their logbooks and ensure that their instructors sign on it. Failure to do this will result in suspension.
8.4 Syllabus: Non-completion of the program’s syllabus by any student means the student will not be allowed to take final examination. Any student who does not complete the syllabus will have to complete it on extra cost.
Attendance: Any student that doesn’t partake of any fabric week will create two different outfits unassisted; and the styles of the outfits will be given by the HOD. Also, such a student will have to get a Model, go to a studio, take professional pictures of the two projects and submit it to the school in a 500g hard drive which becomes the property of the school.
Many individuals judge the academic accomplishment of students based on the intellectual level of the facilitator. But, the biggest predictor of a student’s academic achievement is the involvement of family and friends in the learning process.
This participation is not limited to parental interest in a student’s education; it is a shared obligation with staff and facilitators to accomplish educational objectives and promote a student’s development and GMYT in general.
Our fabric week is a mini fashion show and a crucial platform for promoting our students’ creativity; thus, it should not be limited to the team and the students.
Students should be aware that from now on, inviting their relatives and friends is a huge part of the assessment process.
The following case examples were examined:
1. It promotes a healthy educational and workplace setting.
2. Motivates other students to do better
3. Increases exposure for students and the school as a whole.
4. It will assist the students in building a consumer base.

10.1 Discipline And Disciplinary Procedures: The management of the academy reserves the right to suspend, dismiss or expel students with/without notice, should the student give sufficient cause. In such case, the management’s decision will be final and no refund of fees will be made.
10.2 Damages & Loss
In the case of loss or damage of school property by a student, other students of the same department are expected to report the case immediately to the school management and identify the culprit. Failure to do this, will attract penalty for the whole class/school and the management will ensure its replaced or fixed, hence class sessions will be put on hold until its rectified.
Note: its very important that a student takes full responsibility of any damage caused by him/her and fix same immediately so as not to disrupt class activities
10.3 Classroom Policy
All students are expected to read their class policies at all times.
Students must submit their course form first thing before they go into the class.
Punctual and Regular Students should plan arriving on time to avoid entering the class when class has started to avoid distracting the instructor and students.
Contact the instructor when you have to miss class.
Avoid walking out half way into the class
Respect others.
Be polite.
Turn off or silent your cell phone.
Contribute to the class discussion when appropriate.
Avoid side conversation.
Be attentive in class
Be organized.
No conniving.
Address the instructors properly.
No bullying of any kind.
Ensure to maintain cleanliness in the class and also in the comfort.
Avoid signaling, sending signs that class time is up.
Be organized.
Ensure to maintain cleanliness in the class and also in within the Academy.
Ensure to always turn off the sewing machine, pressing iron and sockets after use.
10.4 Defamation
The reason for the school policies is to protect the interest of the students and the school. Any student found guilty of verbally defaming and sabotaging the school will be expelled immediately. Also the school shall follow all legal means to persecute the culprit.
10.5 Stealing: Stealing of any kind is a serious offence at GMYT. Any student caught in the act shall be expelled forthwith and may be made to go through legal prosecution
10.6 Uniform: All students must wear academy’s T-Shirts on Fridays. Any student that does not wear the T-shirt will not be allowed in class and no facilitator will attend to him/her.
10.7 MD’s Office: Students are not allowed to walk into the MD’s office without prior authorization from the customer service desk, if any student wants the attention of the MD/CEO urgently he/she can send an email to [email protected] or use the official process which is the course form.
10.8 Meeting: MD/CEO will not always be present during the students meetings except for emergencies
10.9 Resumption And Closing Time: Classes resume at 9:00am and closes by 3:00pm. Hence students are advised to leave the classrooms to VIP room once their session is done with the facilitators.
10.10 Absenteeism: Students must write a letter in their logbooks addressing it to the class facilitators or the HOD stating urgent reasons why they will miss classes and why they should grant them permission.
Courses are continuous except for termination or vacation on given dates which must be approved by the MD/CEO
NB. In cases of illness, the days/weeks/months missed will be refunded upon tendering doctors report.
10.11 Littering Of Classes, Executive Lounge And Cutting Room With Dirt: Students must maintain cleanliness in the classrooms, cutting rooms and the VIP room. Any student caught going contrary to this instruction would be suspended.
Students are to ensure that they follow the laid down Covid 19 protocols/regulations given by the academy, any student that defaults would not be allowed into the school premise or would be sent out of the class. Therefore, students must show their vaccine card at the point of entry before given access to the school premises. Hence, NO VACCINE CARD, NO ENTRY.
Electronics with high power consumption are not allowed in the Academy.
Great care must be taken in the use of all the air-conditioning units within the facility. It follows that all windows and doors of a class must be constantly shut at all moments the air-conditioner is operational. This would limit the risk of the units getting spoilt untimely and the academy would be in a better position to continuously provide conducive learning environment for all the students Any student group of students) found to violate this protocol would be penalized.
Students are to note that extra-curricular activities attract extra fees. This fee shall not be compulsory but optional for interested students only.
The school reserves the right to all alumni/students’ pictures/videos, projects, materials for promotion, and also others as applicable. Pictures of all students’ class activities are often taken for promotional use. No student must grieve against anyone taking pictures of them as it aids the promotion of the student /academy.
NB: Students are not allowed to make personal services at school except for assignments and projects

All Students and guardians understand and agree that the duties and obligations of GMYT Fashion Academy may be modified or suspended immediately and without notice due to force majeure causes beyond the Academy’s reasonable control and occurring without its fault or negligence including, but not limited to, acts of God, fire, wars, governmental action, terrorism, epidemic, pandemic, weather, other threats to the safety of people, national emergencies, or any other event beyond the control of the Academy.
In the event of such an occurrence as identified above, the student acknowledges and agrees that his/her obligations to the Academy, including but not limited to financial responsibility for the Student’s tuition and other fees, shall continue and the Academy’s duties and obligations may be modified, suspended, or postponed until such a time as GMYT Fashion Academy, in its sole discretion, may safely resume operations.
The student also acknowledges and agree that the sole remedy for a force majeure event is future service delivery and not a financial refund. GMYT Fashion Academy may, at its option, and in its sole discretion, alter the academic year schedule or provide alternate means of instruction, including, but not limited to, remote learning
All air conditioners must be used with caution. Air conditioners should never be switched on in unoccupied rooms, and windows and doors must be closed while in use. This will assist the school save cost, create a pleasant learning atmosphere for all students and limit the possibility of equipment becoming damaged. Students who breach this policy will face disciplinary action.

10.4 Defamation
The reason for the school policies is to protect the interest of the students and the school. Any student found guilty of verbally defaming and sabotaging the school will be expelled immediately. Also the school shall follow all legal means to persecute the culprit.
10.5 Stealing: Stealing of any kind is a serious offence at GMYT. Any student caught in the act shall be expelled forthwith and may be made to go through legal prosecution
10.6 Uniform: All students must wear academy’s T-Shirts on Fridays. Any student that does not wear the T-shirt will not be allowed in class and no facilitator will attend to him/her.
10.7 MD’s Office: Students are not allowed to walk into the MD’s office without prior authorization from the customer service desk, if any student wants the attention of the MD/CEO urgently he/she can send an email to [email protected] or use the official process which is the course form.
10.8 Meeting: MD/CEO will not always be present during the students meetings except for emergencies
10.9 Resumption And Closing Time: Classes resume at 9:00am and closes by 3:00pm. Hence students are advised to leave the classrooms to VIP room once their session is done with the facilitators.
10.10 Absenteeism: Students must write a letter in their logbooks addressing it to the class facilitators or the HOD stating urgent reasons why they will miss classes and why they should grant them permission.
Courses are continuous except for termination or vacation on given dates which must be approved by the MD/CEO
NB. In cases of illness, the days/weeks/months missed will be refunded upon tendering doctors report.
10.11 Littering Of Classes, Executive Lounge And Cutting Room With Dirt: Students must maintain cleanliness in the classrooms, cutting rooms and the VIP room. Any student caught going contrary to this instruction would be suspended.
Students are to ensure that they follow the laid down Covid 19 protocols/regulations given by the academy, any student that defaults would not be allowed into the school premise or would be sent out of the class. Therefore, students must show their vaccine card at the point of entry before given access to the school premises. Hence, NO VACCINE CARD, NO ENTRY.
Electronics with high power consumption are not allowed in the Academy.
Great care must be taken in the use of all the air-conditioning units within the facility. It follows that all windows and doors of a class must be constantly shut at all moments the air-conditioner is operational. This would limit the risk of the units getting spoilt untimely and the academy would be in a better position to continuously provide conducive learning environment for all the students Any student group of students) found to violate this protocol would be penalized.
Students are to note that extra-curricular activities attract extra fees. This fee shall not be compulsory but optional for interested students only.
The school reserves the right to all alumni/students’ pictures/videos, projects, materials for promotion, and also others as applicable. Pictures of all students’ class activities are often taken for promotional use. No student must grieve against anyone taking pictures of them as it aids the promotion of the student /academy.
NB: Students are not allowed to make personal services at school except for assignments and projects
All students are expected to participate in this before graduation. For instance, a student may be required for a voluntary service of teaching the foundation student. This is a pre-requisite for student graduation.
All Students and guardians understand and agree that the duties and obligations of GMYT Fashion Academy may be modified or suspended immediately and without notice due to force majeure causes beyond the Academy’s reasonable control and occurring without its fault or negligence including, but not limited to, acts of God, fire, wars, governmental action, terrorism, epidemic, pandemic, weather, other threats to the safety of people, national emergencies, or any other event beyond the control of the Academy.
In the event of such an occurrence as identified above, the student acknowledges and agrees that his/her obligations to the Academy, including but not limited to financial responsibility for the Student’s tuition and other fees, shall continue and the Academy’s duties and obligations may be modified, suspended, or postponed until such a time as GMYT Fashion Academy, in its sole discretion, may safely resume operations.
The student also acknowledges and agree that the sole remedy for a force majeure event is future service delivery and not a financial refund. GMYT Fashion Academy may, at its option, and in its sole discretion, alter the academic year schedule or provide alternate means of instruction, including, but not limited to, remote learning
PART TIME STUDENTS: Executive students are permitted to come to school twice a week, i.e. Saturday and any other day within the week. Note that 3 lecture days a week is only for weekday students.
FOUNDATION STUDENT: Students under the foundation program are permitted to receive lectures only on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays.
INTERNSHIP: The Academy has a paid internship for all students after graduation having covered the cut-off mark of 75 % in their final grading. Students interested in the internship program shall apply officially via mail to: [email protected] for approval.
CLASS STAGES: The GMYT Fashion Academy curriculum is designed with the corporate strategic focus to equip all students with all necessary skills to excel in the fashion space. The curriculum is therefore designed to progress students across competencies as follows;
i. Newbies / Newestbies
ii. Freshers
iii. Beginners
iv. Intermediate / Advanced
All students that register with GMYT fashion academy must start from basic regardless of the training they might have gotten elsewhere.
The GMYT induction designed for new students as well as any other event organized by the Academy is mandatory for all students.
Any student who, based on uncontrolled circumstances, may be absent from the induction or any of such events as described above must send a notice, not later than 72 hours to the said event and must have gotten an approval for such absence before embarking on such absence.
Every student, at the completion of their program at GMYT is required to pay for and attend the graduation ceremony / fashion show organized by the school in partnership with (GAHAWARDS). It is important students understand that this is a critical part of their program with GMYT Fashion Academy and it is mandatory for certification.
All student must participate in all tests, exams, collections and projects, as these combined form the basis for continuous assessment and final certification. Students who fail to participate in these continuous assessment, without an approved reason shall undergo disciplinary actions up dismissals and/or decertification.
4.1 Projects: The Academy, during its monthly Fabric week, expects all students to complete a project organized by their respective supervisors / Facilitators. All students are expected to participate fully and submit their projects as may be required from time to time by the Academy.
All student must participate in all group projects and submit their projects after their logbooks have also been signed.
A student who does not pay but participated will not be cleared by his/her supervisor.
A student who pays for the project but did not participate will also not be cleared by the supervisor.
A student who defaults on any of the instructions of these shall be made to execute the project single-handedly and submit to the HOD without any supervision.
Any student that does not participate in any other project, either organized by their class or the academy, will not be allowed in class until such a time, when the said student submits double of the assigned project to the school.
4.2 Cut Off Mark: Student assessment at GMYT Fashion Academy shall be cumulative of all assignments, class work and projects. At the end of the program, all students are expected to meet up with the cut-off mark approved by the Academy. The approved cut off mark is 75% and it is the criteria for graduation. Failure to meet up will attract extra fees and a reseat of the practical sessions for the said students.
4.3 Graduation/Certification
4.3.1 In furtherance to the provisions above, the following are the acceptable criteria for all students of GMYT Fashion Academy at the completion of their program, to be considered for graduation and certification;
i. Financial Clearance form
ii. Proof of minimum attendance requirement for course type (75%).
iii. Proof of no equipment damage clearance form
iv. Proof of return of all academy property(s) including keys, Identity cards etc.
v. Submission of not-less-than 3 body forms or mannequins to the school in union.
vi. Submission of supervisor grading for final Showcase.
Any student that does not showcase a collection on the runway will not be entitled to a certificate.
4.4 Testimonials: All students are required to give testimonials within three months into the program as feedback is an important criterion for structure.
4.5 Submission Of Graduation Outfits: Students must submit their graduation outfits before the event day to enable the school make appropriate arrangement for them.
Students’ kit package are made available upon payment of required fees to the accounting department.
5.1 Starter Kits: The Academy provides the students with all necessary basic sewing kits for their class work, however all students are responsible for their kits as the management will not be liable for any misplaced kits.
5.2 Uniformity: Students are expected to purchase all kit(s) in school so as to encourage uniformity in materials/tools.
5.3 Procedure For Kits Purchase: To purchase kits from the store, student may follow any of the following procedures;
Send a mail to the accounting department containing the list of kit items needed, requesting for the cost of the items from the account department.
With a reply from the Accounting department on the initial request as explained above, students may proceed to make payment.
The student shall then proceed to send a mail requesting for the kits, attaching the proof of payment for the said kits to the mail.
Alternatively, a student may approach the accounting department to make payment for the kits and also proceed to receive the kits, from the store with their receipts.
5.4 Illustration Kits: FREE Illustration kits qualifies you for the illustration classes. Only the approved illustration kits are allowed in class.
GMYT Fashion Academy, as part of her empowerment program, provides sewing machines to certain students based on predefined terms and conditions and that the sewing machines are issued on this basis. All students understand and agree that the sewing machine is not covered by and consequently not part of the fee(s) paid by the student upon registration for any program in the Academy. All students understand that the sewing machine is issued as part of GMYT Fashion Academy’s corporate social responsibility, through her empowerment scheme championed proudly by the GMYT Foundation to certain students who meet the following requirements;
A student may only be considered for sewing machine if such student makes a one-time full payments at the point of registration with the Academy. Students making payments in installments shall NOT be considered for the free machine scheme
A students in furtherance of fulfilling the above requirement MUST be present at the induction ceremony, to be considered for the sewing machine scheme.
The sewing machine can only be collected on the date of the induction ceremony (not sooner or later).
The sewing machine CANNOT be collected by a representative or by proxy but by the prospective student personally on the day of the induction.
Weekend students and foundation students are NOT entitled to free machines, only WEEKDAY students that meet the payment policy criteria are eligible.
Students who register for 3 months and below shall NOT be considered for the sewing machine scheme.
A student who meets the above requirements shall write a letter addressed to the accounting department, requesting to be considered for the sewing machine scheme, while attaching evidence of full payment to the school.
6.1 Demurrage: Any student, who is deemed qualified for sewing machine BUT fails to pick up the machine shall pay a demurrage fee of Two thousand (2,000) naira for each day the machine stays at school.
7.1 Non-refundable/non-covertable Of Fees: All tuition fee as well as any other payments made to the academy is non-refundable, non-transferable and non convertible.
Note that all fees paid to the school are non-refundable and all installment fees must be fully paid within 3months from first payment.
7.2 Installment Payment
Only six, nine and twelve months fee payments may be paid in installments.
Three Months fees may only be paid once.
All installment fees must be paid within 3 months on the agreed dates. Else he/she will be asked to withdraw from the school. Note that your tuition fee is not transferable to another person.
7.3 Extension Of Duration
Students who wish to extend their programme within 3 months of registration would only have to pay the difference between their current duration and the one they wish to extend to. Hence, extension of program after 3 months costs #100,000 for the first month and #50,000 for subsequent months.
7.4 DEFERMENTS
All students are entitled to deferment of not more than 3 months accompanied with valid reason to be away. Hence freezing of account costs the sum of fifty thousand naira only (#50,000) per month.
7.5. IDENTITY CARD
Student must always wear their ID Cards. Any student that goes contrary to this will not be allowed in the school and can be suspended if it becomes a pattern; hence new students are entitled to temporal Identity card approved by the school (kindly visit the account office for issuance)
7.6 Loss Of ID Card
Reissuing of the school ID card if lost cost #10,000.
7.7 Freezing Of Account
Note: To freeze your account,
1. you would need apply, stating when you are leaving and your expected return date.
2. Make your payment
3. Submit your ID card as a new one would be issued to you on your return to the school.
NB: if no approval is given the request is void, nonetheless with/without approval all students must graduate within same year of registration/admission.
7.8 Non-commencement or Non-completion of Course
If a student fails to complete the course, No refund or reduction of fees will be given to him/her. Also, the number of hours must be completed by each student before practical and exams can be taken.
All course forms must be filled including two passports, one portrait photographs in soft and hard copy and must be submitted before resumption, nonetheless a grace of two weeks is given hence the student registration becomes void with the school after two weeks. Student Course form is issued to every student by the academy upon full payment for registration with the school. The course form details all activities of the student in the Academy and must be kept properly.
GMYT Fashion Academy shall not be responsible for the loss or damage of any course form in the possession of any students.
GMYT Fashion Academy shall not be required to duplicate the contents of any student in the future resulting from the loss or damage of any course form.
8.1 MD’s/ Hos Remark: All students are expected to submit their log book to their HOD every month for sighting and remarks.
COURSE FORMS
8.2 Loss Of Course Form/log Book: New course form/logbook if misplaced cost ten thousand naira only (#10,000) hence it’s important that all students take proper care of it, as this is the official book approved by the school for Documentation and also to track students’ progress, hence any student without logbook will not be allowed in class and no facilitator will attend him/her.
8.3 Logbooks: All students are expected to sign in all their daily activities in their logbooks and ensure that their instructors sign on it. Failure to do this will result in suspension.
8.4 Syllabus: Non-completion of the program’s syllabus by any student means the student will not be allowed to take final examination. Any student who does not complete the syllabus will have to complete it on extra cost.
10.1 Discipline And Disciplinary Procedures: The management of the academy reserves the right to suspend, dismiss or expel students with/without notice, should the student give sufficient cause. In such case, the management’s decision will be final and no refund of fees will be made.
10.2 Damages & Loss
In the case of loss or damage of school property by a student, other students of the same department are expected to report the case immediately to the school management and identify the culprit. Failure to do this, will attract penalty for the whole class/school and the management will ensure its replaced or fixed, hence class sessions will be put on hold until its rectified.
Note: its very important that a student takes full responsibility of any damage caused by him/her and fix same immediately so as not to disrupt class activities
10.3 Classroom Policy
