PRINCESS KELECHI OGHENE

PRINCESS KELECHI OGHENE is the Group Managing Director of GMYT GROUP. The optimistic attitude she has adopted has afforded her much relief in the pursuit of her goals, and her voracious appetite for knowledge has compelled her to attend several seminars and courses.

Consequently, Princess Kelechi Oghene now holds degrees and certificates from prestigious institutions such as Lagos State University, Lagos Business School, London School of Fashion, and Harvard Business School, and she is currently enrolled in an Executive MBA program at THE BUSINESS SCHOOL NETHERLANDS. As a consequence of a number of these elements, Princess Kelechi Oghene’s commercial operations have grown more organized and exceptional.

Princess Kelechi Oghene has also earned and championed over one hundred and twenty (120) awards for GMYT GROUP, such as Ecowas Designer of the Year, Nigerian Entrepreneurs Award for Most Enterprise Personality of the Year, Symbol of Hope Awards for African Women of Impact, and Nigerian British Award for Supporting the Fashion Industry, to name a few.

She was also recognized and sponsored in whole to 8 different states in the USA for women empowerment program, by the United States departments of State under the IVLP program in 2022. Princess Kelechi Oghene is a member of the Fashion Designers Association of Nigeria (FADAN) in addition to being a humanitarian and philanthropist.

She has trained and graduated over twelve thousand women and youths with expertise in the fashion business over the previous decade.

Using platforms such as GAH-AWARDS, GMYT Foundation, GMYT Fashion Academy, and GMYT Apartments, she has provided thousands of scholarships worth hundreds of millions of naira, empowered women and youths with over 3,000 Industrial and Domestic Sewing Machines each through GMYT Foundation, and provided free housing, start-up funds through the GMYT SME support scheme, mentoring, etc.

In addition to her extraordinary achievements, Princess Kelechi Oghene has organized and honored hundreds of individuals and organizations that contribute positively to societal growth. The event features GAH-AWARDS Magazine, Empowerments, and Exclusive runway designs by GAH-AWARDS LTD.

As a member of the Ikoyi Golf Club, Princess Kelechi Oghene has won more than 20 local and international golf competitions. In addition to sponsoring a number of golf events, she intends to affect the lives of 10,000 women and youth by 2030 through skills acquisition and entrepreneurial programs. This initiative had already begun with the first group of recipients on December 9th, 2022, during the 10th edition of GAH-AWARDS.
Hobbies include: Golfing, Studying, Traveling, and Playing chess.
